This training is exclusive and closed to CIAO countries. The course will be completely free, thanks to the scholarship provided by IICA-CIAO and will be aimed at professionals in the Agricultural Sciences who preferably are working in animal production for each CIAO country and who will be designated by the CAs of Control and Promotion of each Member Country.

Taught by Álvaro Fernández-Blanco Barreto, Veterinarian and CEO of SANAS (Spanish consultancy providing veterinary advice and training services for agri-food and animal husbandry), this course not only focuses on pharmacology and the design of phytotherapeutic preparations, but also addresses the most common conditions in farm animals and their treatment through phytotherapy, with a special focus on veterinary prescription and the elaboration of phytotherapeutic preparations. The program culminates with a practical project where participants will apply the knowledge acquired in the resolution of real clinical cases.
